Since the launch and inception of this West Midlands programme to assist High Growth Business, Moore Stephens Advisory have been the leading contracted delivery partner assisting over 820 new and young businesses to develop and grow.

Depending upon various selection criteria, an appropriate and tailored funding package (including advice) has been an essential building block to support such growth and has seen a near 100% success rate on funding such businesses.

High Growth Business support – Non Mustard

The MSA team were selected from tender to deliver a programme in the Black Country aimed at High Growth start-up business development. This programme ran for a number of years funded by Single Regeneration Budget funding and was aimed primarily at identifying and supporting manufacturing and assembly focused business.

As the prime delivery support often required the provision of a finance solution, generally in the range of £50K to £200K, this experience is seen as very relevant to many high growth young businesses.

The Programme assisted over 80 companies to start-up and grow in the area, creating 400 jobs, of which 100 related to BME based companies and personnel. Importantly, the tracked and detailed statistics identified that £3.5 million had been invested in these companies as a combination of leverage from bank or asset finance, grants and self investment. The Programme also had a survival rate of 95% up to 78 weeks trading.

Amongst the successful businesses were SRS Technologies based in Walsall which was later floated on AIM in August 2001 raising £3 million to fund future development.
